Draft for legal review. This policy is a working draft prepared ahead of launch. It has not yet been reviewed by a licensed UAE lawyer and should not be relied upon as final until that review is complete and the placeholders below are filled in with the entity's actual details.

This Privacy Policy explains how Aabi Chartered Accountants ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects personal data when you visit this website, use our tools and calculators, or contact us about our services. It is intended to comply with the UAE's Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and its implementing regulations.

1. Who we are

Aabi Chartered Accountants is a UAE-registered accounting, tax, audit coordination and company formation practice. Our office is at Office 1509, 15th Floor, Citadel Tower, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at info@aabica.com.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect personal data in the following ways:

  • Information you give us directly — your name, email address, phone number, company name, and any details you provide when you contact us, request a quote, book a consultation, or use an interactive tool on this site (for example, the corporate tax or VAT calculators).
  • Information collected automatically — standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and time spent on the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
  • Information you provide once you become a client — where you engage us for accounting, tax, audit or formation services, we collect the further personal and financial information necessary to deliver that specific engagement, governed by the separate engagement letter or service agreement you sign with us, not by this website policy alone.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18 through this website, and this site is not directed at children.

3. How we use your data

We use personal data collected through this website to:

  • Respond to your enquiries, quote requests and consultation bookings;
  • Provide the results of interactive tools and calculators you choose to use;
  • Improve this website's content, structure and functionality;
  • Comply with our own legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations; and
  • Where you've separately agreed to it, send you updates about our services.

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Legal basis for processing

Under the PDPL, we process personal data on the basis of: your consent (for example, when you submit a contact form or opt into updates); the necessity of processing to take steps at your request before entering into an engagement with us; and our legitimate interests in operating and improving this website, provided those interests don't override your own data protection rights.

5. Who we share data with

We may share personal data with: service providers who support our website and business operations (for example, hosting, email and analytics providers), each bound by contractual confidentiality obligations; regulators and government authorities where required by UAE law; and professional advisors (auditors, lawyers) where necessary to deliver a specific engagement. These currently include our website hosting provider; Google (Google Analytics 4, for website visit statistics); Brevo (to deliver emails sent from our website forms); Microsoft (Microsoft 365, which hosts our email); and Defiant, Inc. (the Wordfence service that protects this website).

6. Cookies

This site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the site, and improve performance. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some site functionality. We use Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to measure how visitors use the site. WordPress and our Wordfence security service set essential cookies only for staff who sign in. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data collected through this website only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by UAE law — including statutory record-keeping periods applicable to accounting, tax and audit engagements, which can extend for several years after an engagement ends. Documents uploaded through our enquiry and fee-estimate forms (for example trade licences and financial statements) are deleted from this website automatically 90 days after submission. CVs sent through our careers form are forwarded to our recruitment mailbox and are not kept on this website.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Under the PDPL, you generally have the right to: request access to the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@aabica.com.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We'll post the updated version on this page with a revised "last updated" date.

11. Contact us
